His style is primarily a mixture of contemporary folk and indie rock, mixing autobiographical flavors into his fiction of poetry and music. The new studio LP, Liminal Space, is available now. His prior album, Our Fathers Were Lions, was released October 2017. His second studio album Our Past And Present Futures, was released February 2016. In 2015 James was appointed to the faculty at Lancaster University Management School in the UK to teach an MBA-level series on how to predict where technology is headed. In the past 10 years, his predictions have rang mostly true with the sole exception of overestimating the role of IoT. The classes were repeated at the University of Washington Foster Business School in 2018 during his year-long stint as the Fritzky Chair of Leadership and then taken on the road in Europe at INSEAD (France), IESE and ESADE (Spain), LBS and Oxford (England) and Heriot Watt (Scotland).

Justin Kausal-Hayes
Growing up in a musical family, Justin Kausal-Hayes began playing guitar at age 9. After taking briefly lessons and learning a few chords, he was off an running! Early influencers were American folk music icons Crosby Stills and Nash, Jimi Hendricks, then later Stevie Ray Vaughn and Pearl Jam. In his early 20s, Justin formed a band with some high school buddies. They called themselves “Author Unknown” and mostly played bluesy covers mixed with a few originals around the local Seattle scene. Years later, the band changed their name to “Buckets of Rain,” and focused on original material. You can read more about Justin’s current bands below.
Justin plays live 5 to 6 nights a week at various local establishments around Seattle and beyond. He is also available for private lessons in North Seattle 2 days a week.

In 2015, Aaron Lindstrom formed the acoustic trio, Lindstrom and The Limit. As the band grew in popularity, they also grew in size. Over the past nine years, The Limit has morphed into a nine-piece soul-folk-rock powerhouse that puts on a live show like you've never seen before. Fusing elements of folk, funk, soul, blues, and rock - The Limit's sound is truly unique and the energy from their live shows has helped them pack some of Seattle's most legendary stages.

In 2015, Aaron Lindstrom formed the acoustic trio, Lindstrom and The Limit. As the band grew in popularity, they also grew in size. Over the past nine years, The Limit has morphed into a nine-piece soul-folk-rock powerhouse that puts on a live show like you've never seen before. Fusing elements of folk, funk, soul, blues, and rock - The Limit's sound is truly unique and the energy from their live shows has helped them pack some of Seattle's most legendary stages.
Their first album, Estate Sale!, was released in 2019. Their second album, The Rope, was released in 2022.
